To help students build a solid foundation for their learning, school-based curricula were developed for English, Chinese, Mathematics, Life & Society and STEM & IT to equip students with subject-specific learning skills to smoothen their transition between primary and junior secondary levels.
English is adopted as the MOI in all subjects except Chinese, Chinese Literature, Chinese History and Putonghua. To help students adapt to the English learning environment, an English bridging programme is organised every August for S1 students to enhance their confidence of using English in their learning of different subjects through the teaching of classroom language, presentation skills, and word formation skills. LAC elements have also been infused into the English curriculum, such as the study of multi-disciplinary grammar features, text types, and textual themes.
