Who We Are

All Together for a Better Community

Departments and Organizational Structure

The role of people in an organization

The significance of collaboration in organizations

First graders regrouped around the summative assessment task of “Working Together for a Better Community” by selecting their favorite community scenarios. With the joint efforts of the teacher and their buddies, they completed the tasks of coloring community pictures and building simple models, showing a surprisingly collaborative spirit.

When drawing the community pictures, the children used colorful brushes to depict the ideal community they had in mind: tall buildings, wide roads, fun amusement parks and beautiful gardens. As they drew, they excitedly shared their imaginations of the community, each with a happy smile on their faces.

When building the models, the children were even more creative. They used small blocks, pieces of paper and other materials to carefully build a model of the community they had in mind. Although the models looked simple, every detail was full of the children's thinking and creativity. In the process of building, the children learned to help each other, when someone is in trouble, there will always be a partner to lend a helping hand and solve the problem together.

This activity not only gave the children a deeper understanding of the community, but more importantly, they learned to listen, respect and cooperate in teamwork. They understood that only by working together can we create a better community. This exhibition was like a small seed that planted the seeds of caring for others in the children's hearts, and we believe that these seeds will take root and blossom into even more splendid flowers in their future path of growth.

Taking action to protect nature

In the exploration of the relationship between human and other plants and animal, the Grade 2 students deeply reflected on our coexistence with the planet, and presenting their findings at their exhibition.

The exhibition began with a group chorus, Little Sparrow. Students' tender voices expressed a heartfelt longing for harmony and beauty in the natural world, transporting us into a vibrant and lively natural world.

Then, each student took the stage to introduce a handcrafted snake they created. Each snake symbolizing a unique connection to a small life form in nature, highlighting the close bond between human and the natural world.

This was followed by a collaborative display of science projects, which truly captivated the audience. The student’s hand-painted globe showcased the majesty and vastness of our planet, representing not only their appreciation for Earth but also their commitment to protecting it. Every brushstroke conveyed their deep love and sense of responsibility toward our planet.

In addition, the students also presented their personal works——Turning Waste into Treasure. Using discarded items, students made practical and creative works, showing their imagination and their understanding of caring for the nature.

We look forward to seeing these young students continue to protect our home with even more creativity and action in the future.
