Parent Meeting
为了加强家校沟通,帮助家长深入了解OCIS教学理念与内容,同时吸纳合理化建议,推动家庭教育和学校教育的有效衔接,10月24日,我校举行新一年级在校生家长开放日活动。家长们走进校园、进入课堂,与孩子们一起感受美好、有序的校园生活。
In order to strengthen communication between families and schools, help parents gain a deeper understanding of OCIS teaching philosophy and practice, take opportunities to raise sound suggestions, and promote the integration of family education and school education, on October 24th, our school held an open day activity for parents of new G1 students. Parent representatives entered the campus and classroom to experience the beautiful and orderly campus life with their children.

课程观摩 OCIS CLASSES
本次开放课程包括英文和戏剧课,老师们生动、新颖的教学方法和孩子们认真思考、积极讨论、踊跃发言、热情参与的学习状态获得家长的认可。
The open classes include English and Drama. The teachers' vivid and innovative teaching methods, as well as the children's serious thinking, active discussion, enthusiastic participation in learning, have been recognized by parents.

家校交流会 PARENTS MEETING
课后,OCIS外方校长Robert、小学部负责人Demi、英文教学负责人Kevin、一年级班主任Henry/Alan以及各学科教师与家长们进行了深层次的交流,使家长更加了解一年级课程设置的特色及培养方向,开学以来各学科的教学内容、学生管理规定和各项活动的开展情况,以及英文教学的目标及如何帮助学生提高英文学习水平。
After class, OCIS's Foreign Principal Mr. Robert, Head of Primary Ms. Demi, Head of English, Mr. Kevin, G1 Homeroom Teacher Henry/Alan, and various subject teachers had in-depth exchanges with parents, enabling them to better understand the characteristics and directions of the first grade curriculum, the teaching content, student management regulations, and activities of each subject since the beginning of the school year, as well as the goals of English teaching and how to support students improve their English.
随后,家长们也畅所欲言,针对具体学习问题,与老师进一步细致沟通。包括如何满足不同英语基础的学生得到全方位的教学支持,如何高效地进行课后辅导,对于难度较高的英文科学课程,如何帮助学生提高,老师们也逐一进行了专业的分析和解答。
Subsequently, parents also spoke freely, they communicated with teachers in detail on how to efficiently provide after-school tutoring and how to help students with weak English catch up with the teaching progress as soon as possible. The teachers also conducted professional analysis and answers one by one.
家长反馈
活动最后,家长们纷纷表达了今天新一年级学生们2个月以来,精神面貌和学习状态获得了非常大的进步,特别是学习自觉性的形成、英语表达水平的提高以及各学科基础知识的夯实,都见成效。
同时,孩子们的个人管理能力也有了显著提高,他们完全能够独立整理学习资料及个人物品,有序完成班主任老师交代的课后任务,充分体现了对于学校生活的适应及喜爱。
At last, the parents are expressing that the new first-year students have made great progress in their mental outlook and learning status in the past two months, especially in the formation of learning consciousness, the improvement of English expression level, and the consolidation of basic knowledge in various subjects, all of which have shown results.
At the same time, the children's personal management abilities have also significantly improved. They are fully capable of independently organizing learning materials and personal belongings, completing the after-school tasks assigned by the homeroom teacher in an orderly manner, fully reflecting their adaptation and love for school life.

和孩子一起成长,就是最好的教养。家校间的双向合作交流不仅拉近了家长与学生的距离,也拉近了家校的距离,让家长对学校更加信任,让家长的陪伴走进校园。后续我们将陆续开放其他年级,欢迎更多的家长走进学校,陪伴孩子、陪伴OCIS共同成长!
Growing up with children is the best form of upbringing. Parent-school communication and cooperation not only brings parents closer to students but also bring parents closer to school. It makes parents put more trust in school and also entends parent companion to school. Next up we will welcome more parents from other grades to school to offer their companionship for students and the growth of OCIS.
