发布时间:2024-10-14 08:13

Wave 荡

Wave,是名词,是状态;

Wave, a noun, a state.

是涟漪泛起时水波的荡漾;

It is the ripple that spreads across by the flowing water.

是经历万难后心中的坦荡;

It is the relief that releases after rising from the ashes.

是形,是心,是显和融。

It is the form, the spirit, the perception and insight.

Wave,是动词,是行动;

Wave is a verb; it’s proceeding.

是一次变革,一次变化后的恢复;

It is a change, an advance and a renewal.

更是如今世界上,我们身上,明里暗里的波动;

It is also the fluctuations within us both overtly and secretly in the world today.

是与社会碰触后,相互推搡间无数次出现的平衡。

It is the equilibrium that emerges after countless interactions with society.

思想的浪潮在万科梅沙书院再次涌动!2024年9月25日,第七届由高中生举办的TEDxYouthVMA活动如期而至。TEDxYouthVMA是由万科梅沙书院申请的官方授权演讲活动,同样聚焦不同领域,关注社会问题,分享最新的发现与思考,传播一切值得传播的创意。TEDx致力于引起社区内自发的讨论和引发人们深度的思考。

The wave of ideas surged once again at Vanke Meisha Academy. On September 25, 2024, the 7th student-organized TEDxYouthVMA event took place as scheduled. TEDxYouthVMA is an officially authorized speaking event organized by VMA, focusing on various fields, addressing social issues, sharing the latest discoveries and thoughts, and spreading all ideas worth sharing. TEDx aims to stimulate spontaneous discussions within the community and provoke deep reflection among audience.

本次活动,由赵行天同学担任主持人,共邀请了两位校外演讲者(何楚晗女士,肖阳先生),一位学生家长(萧正先生)与两位校内演讲者(刘诗玚和李帛润)走上舞台分享观点。今年活动主题为“Wave荡”,期待我们在思想浪潮荡漾出的涟漪之间看世界,也在天地之间找自己。

This year’s event was hosted by student Zhao Hangtian and featured two external speakers (Ms. He Chuhan and Mr. Xiao Yang), one parent speaker (Mr. Xiao Zheng), and two internal student speakers (Liu Shiyang and Li Borun) who shared their perspectives on stage. The theme for this year was “Wave”, encouraging us to view the world through the waves of ideas and to find ourselves amidst the vastness of existence.

From grappling with the waves of inner emotions to exploring the vast tides of the world; from seeking identity in life to adapting to our surroundings—rich past experiences colored the shares, excellent skills enhanced the atmosphere, and the speakers’ shining qualities sparkled under the stage lights. Life is unpredictable, but through our journeys, we can always find a place to belong amidst the waves of existence. Centered around the theme “Wave”, the speakers offered the audience new perspectives and insights, marking a fulfilling conclusion to TEDx 2024.

演讲结束后是Q&A环节,演讲者们围坐在一起聆听同学们的想法,回答同学们的疑问。思想的涟漪荡开,又与新的观点相遇。涟漪平复,但与其共鸣,被其启迪的思想才刚刚启程。感谢每一位演讲者,每一位老师,每一位同学的支持与参与。明年依然希望在TEDxYouthVMA的现场与大家相见!

After the speeches, a Q&A session followed, where the speakers gathered to listen to students’ thoughts and address their questions. The ripples of ideas spread out, encountering new viewpoints. While the ripples may settle, the resonant thoughts inspired by them have only just begun their journey. We thank every speaker, teacher, and student for their support and participation. We look forward to seeing everyone again at TEDxYouthVMA next year!

To summarize, effective emotional management requires embracing uncertainty and mastering adaptability through acceptance, the ABC model, and mindfulness. By observing and accepting our emotions, changing our perceptions, and practicing mindfulness, we can navigate the emotional waves of life with greater skill and resilience.

This approach not only helps us manage stress and anxiety more effectively but also transforms life's challenges into opportunities for personal growth and inner peace. Just as surfers learn to ride the waves, we can learn to navigate our emotional waves, turning turbulence into a journey of self-discovery and strength.

By cultivating these skills, we can achieve a more harmonious and fulfilling life, where emotional challenges become stepping stones to greater resilience and understanding. Let's embrace the journey, paddle out, balance on our boards, and ride the waves of life with courage and grace.

What creates these waves?

When confronted with life and social obstacles, it is truly important to remember the lesson of being like water. It means overcoming the initial discomfort and finding ways to thrive despite the challenges. Water, by nature, adapts to the shape of its container but also has the power to reshape its surroundings over time. As we adapt to new environments, we should also ask ourselves: how can we reshape the environment around us to make a positive impact?

Just as the water in a lake creates a new ecosystem or the waves of the Qiantang River reshape the shoreline, we also possess the capacity like Su Shi to make a significant impact by positively contributing to the well-being of local communities, even in situations of exile.

Thus, as we prepare to take on these new adventures, let us embrace the spirit of water—adaptable yet powerful, ready to flow with the current and capable of shaping the world around us.
