ISNS UCC Team Kicks Off a Busy Year | 大学与职业顾问团队蓄势待发

The University and Career Counselling (UCC) team at ISNS plays a vital role in helping both students and families explore and make informed decisions about career paths and university options. From assessing personality traits and career interests to compiling transcripts, letters of recommendation, and submitting university applications, the counsellors guide students through every step of this critical process. They also assist with applications for residence and course selection, ensuring students are well-prepared for their future academic journey.

Personalized Guidance Through the University Application Process

This support is particularly crucial during high school (G9-12), where students work closely with their counsellor to tailor an individualized path through the New Brunswick High School and/or IB Diploma Programme and into their best-fit university. With admissions becoming more complex and demanding worldwide, the UCC ensures that families have every available resource to productively and ethically complete the admissions process.

ISNS also uses UniFrog, an innovative software that streamlines the application process, allowing students and counsellors to track progress, store testing scores, and upload official documents directly to universities.

UCC Events and Workshops

Looking ahead, the UCC has organized a full schedule of workshops, parent coffee chats, and university fairs to support students and parents in navigating the university application process and preparing for the future.

On Wednesday, September 11th, the UCC team—led by Lisa Hackett and Eleanor Rao—held the first of two immersive University Application Days for Grade 12 students. This all-day event allowed students to focus entirely on their university applications, providing personalized guidance for platforms like the Common App, UCAS, and University of California applications. By concentrating on these critical tasks, the initiative aimed to reduce stress and streamline the application process, ensuring students felt well-prepared and confident in their future academic paths.

Additionally, ISNS was thrilled to welcome Sarah Groh, Assistant Director of International Admissions at Boston University, to campus on Friday, September 20th. Grade 11 and 12 students had the chance to learn about the academic programs, campus life, and admissions process at one of the top universities in the U.S., sparking insightful discussions about their higher education goals.
