Sports are essential within the International IB education. As a leading IB school, ISA Tianhe strives to cultivate a community of students who embody the IB Learner Profile.
Ice Hockey is one of the world's four major ball games and particularly prevalent in Europe and the United States. Students with ice hockey expertise are highly favoured by high schools and universities in Europe and the United States. It combines the versatility of skating skills with the agility of field hockey skills. It is a team sport on ice with strong confrontation, as well as an official sport of the Winter Olympic Games. To promote the popularization of ice hockey and encourage young people to actively participate in ice hockey, ISA Tianhe School, together with the ISA International Academy, will set up the ISA Tianhe Ice Hockey Foundation Team.
体育运动在IB国际教育中至关重要。爱莎天河学校一直秉承IB的核心理念，将个性化全人教育融汇于全校教学之中，致力于培养全面发展的优秀青年。

Training Details
训练方式及内容
The sport of Ice Hockey requires a solid foundation in roller skating. Therefore, the ISA Tianhe Ice Hockey Foundation Team's daily training will be based on land training, supplemented by ice training. Land training will be held inside the school, and ice training will be arranged 1-2 times a month when students will be transported to the ice practice rank.
参与冰球运动首先需要有足够扎实的轮滑基础。因此爱莎天河冰球校队预备队的日常训练方式将以陆地训练为主，结合冰上训练为辅的方式进行授课。其中陆地训练将在校内综合体育馆内进行，每月将会安排1-2次校外冰场训练。

We welcome students with no basic skills to enroll, and coaches will teach students in groups according to their basic level.

Training Schedule
训练时间
Starting from October 11th, every Monday and Friday 16:20-17:20, training twice a week, a total of 25 sessions. (Including 6 sessions of real ice training).
从10月11日开始，逢周一和周五 16：20-17：20 ，每周两次训练 ，共合计25次课（含冰上训练课6次）。

Pick-up Arrangements
接送安排
If students need to go out for ice training, the school will arrange a bus to transport students to the practice rink. Parents will have to pick up their children from the practice rink by themselves. Ice training dates will be arranged by the coach according to the actual training progress of the students. Parents will be informed of the ice training plan in advance.
如遇冰上训练，学生将由学校统一安排车辆，接送至校外真冰练习场。需由家长自行从冰场接回学生。冰上训练日期不固定，将由教练根据学员实际训练进度安排，将会提前告知家长外出训练计划。

Competitions
比赛信息
Students who join the Ice Hockey Foundation Team will have the opportunity to participate in various tournaments when they reach a certain level after training. Such competitive events include the Guangzhou Ice Hockey Championship, Ice Hockey Championship of Guangdong Province, Guangdong Provincial Games Ice Hockey Competition, National U-Series Ice Hockey Championship, China Ice Hockey League.
加入冰球校队预备队的学生在经过训练后，如果达到一定程度的水平也将有机会参加相应组别的各项赛事，例如：广州市冰球锦标赛、广东省冰球锦标赛、广东省运动会冰球比赛、全国U系列冰球锦标赛、中国冰球联赛、各大系列邀请赛等。

Fees
收费
To ensure that the members of the ISA Tianhe Ice Hockey Foundation Team will reach a high level, we have teamed up with the ISA International Academy and secured a partnership with a professional ice hockey organization to provide professional training for the members of the team by professional ice hockey coaches. Parents will need to pay for the cost of equipment, practice rink venues, transportation, and other costs involved in the training programme.
