杭州市萧山区惠立学校严格按照国家课程标准和浙江省课程要求落实课程实施与管理。结合英国前沿教学和教育方法及惠灵顿公学全人教育的理念,我们致力于帮助学生实现全面发展,培养学生具备二十一世纪个人发展所需能力,从容应对大学升学及以后将面临的挑战。
杭州惠灵顿外籍人员子女学校遵循英国国家教育大纲并参考世界各地课程体系设置的标准,学生将学习英语、数学、科学、艺术、中文等课程,实现个人发展和社会成长。
此外,杭州惠灵顿外籍人员子女学校不单独开设幼儿园。所有2至6岁的儿童不论国籍均可就读杭州惠立幼儿园的小小班至大班。在任何申请年度的9月1日前满5周岁且具备外籍或者港澳台身份的儿童,可以申请入读杭州惠灵顿外籍人员子女学校的一年级。

幼儿园毕业后,学生可申请入读杭州惠立学校,开启小学、初中及高中生涯。九年级学生将开启至关重要的过渡学年,学生在九至十年级开始参加国际中学教育普通课程(IGCSE)学习,随后两年完成普通中等教育证书考试高级水平课程(A Level)学习,在十二年级高中毕业,为申请入读世界一流高校做好充分准备。
一至九年级都有哪些课程?
杭州惠立学校课程设置严格遵循国家课程标准和浙江省义务教育课程设置的要求,融合惠立教学特色,倡导以理解为导向的探究型学习理念引领课堂教学。除了常规的语文、英语、数学、科学、中文社会研习、音乐、体育和美术等课程外,同时融入惠立特有的主题、幸福关怀、戏剧、英文社会研习、运动类和表演艺术类等特色课程。

A Level是英国、威尔士和北爱尔兰的十八岁学生须参加的资格考试,同时也是世界各国的国际学校使用最多的国际课程体系,也是在中国最流行的国际课程(在中国选择A Level课程的学生人数最多,远超IB和其他国际课程)。

What are the differences between Huili School Hangzhou and Wellington College International Hangzhou?
Huili School Hangzhou and Wellington College International Hangzhou both offer a world class education. We are proud to have an unwavering commitment to excellence in everything we do, and we expect the best academic provision for all our pupils.
Huili School Hangzhou will adhere in all areas to the curriculum standards laid out by the Chinese national curriculum and Zhejiang Province guidelines. These standards and practices are enhanced by combining them with the very best of UK teaching methodologies and pedagogies, along with the Wellington College holistic approach to ensure that our pupils are well-rounded and equipped with the 21st century skills to succeed in their life beyond the College.
The rigorous academic program at Wellington College International Hangzhou is designed to challenge our pupils with the finest elements of the English national curriculum framed within our international location to meet the needs of all our learners. Our pupils will study English, maths, science, art and Chinese, achieving personal and social development through the very highest standards.
Wellington College International Hangzhou does not offer a separate Nursery. All pupils between the ages of two and six regardless of nationality can enrol in Early Years 1 through 4 at Huili Nursery Hangzhou. If a child turns five before 1 September in any application year and has foreign, Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan status, they can apply to transfer to Year 1 at Wellington College International Hangzhou.
How are the grade levels divided at Huili School Hangzhou?
After completing nursery, children can move into Huili School Hangzhou, where they start their primary, junior high, and sixth form journey. In Grade 9, children begin an important transition year because they will complete their IGCSE examinations in Grade 10. After IGCSE, Huili pupils complete their A Levels, graduating in Grade 12 from our Sixth Form well-prepared to enter the best universities around the world.
What subjects will be offered in Grades 1-9?
Huili School Hangzhou adheres to the curriculum standards as laid out by the Chinese national curriculum and enhances it with Huili's unique educational philosophy. Lessons at Huili are enquiry-based with a focus on improving pupils' understanding. In addition to regular courses like Chinese, English, mathematics, science, Chinese social studies, music, sports and art, our pupils also learn distinctive Huili courses, such as Theme, Wellbeing, drama, English social studies, sports and performing arts. We also provide over 200 school-based optional co-curricular activites, including Lego, robotics, English speech, English drama, archery, pop band, and orchestra.
How will the A Level curriculum prepare my childfor university?
The A Level (Advanced Level) is the qualification taken by 18-year-old students in the UK and the most common qualification in international schools worldwide. It is also the most popular international curriculum in China (the number of pupils in China studying A Levels greatly exceeds those studying IB and other international curricula). Pupils typically study A Levels in three subjects. Some pupils may be tempted to study four or more subjects; however, it is worth bearing in mind that almost all universities will give offers based on three subjects, where the quality of the grades is given far more importance than the quantity of subjects taken. This allows pupils to specialise and study subjects deeply and genuinely prepare for the transition to university.
My child plans to study higher education in the USA or Canada after completing Junior High in Huili School Hangzhou. Can grades and transcripts achieved at Huili School Hangzhou be recognised in these countries?

What textbooks will be used at Huili SchoolHangzhou?
All textbooks used are based on the curriculum syllabuses of compulsory education and are enriched by textbooks meeting Huili standards, with various well-developed online resources integrated into the curriculum. Each Huili pupil is provided with an individual account with access to the school eLibrary and other designated learning websites. Teachers will select appropriate teaching resources for subject themes in accordance with the specific demands of the pupils.
Do you offer boarding or a school bus?
Yes, we offer a school bus for pupils in Grades 1 and above. Pupils from Grades 3 and above are eligible to apply for boarding at our Ming House.
